My $347 Wheel Chock

I had to adjust my clutch so I had the car jacked up with a wheel chock. I finished, lowered the car and went inside to change my shirt and wash up for a test drive. When I backed up over the chock it flipped up and drove into the quarter pannel. I fell like an ass but wanted to share this with you guys so no one else makes the same mistake.

Aww man sorry to hear that.  That's one mistake you'll never make again.
I once was in a hurry hooking up my trailer.    I hooked up the chains, lights and trailer just fine but forget to put the Jack all the way up.      :flame:
Come to think about it, I've done all kinds of dumb things ...........

Yep,, I was once moving a trailer for a friend and because it was raining broke rule number one about doing a walkaround.  Turned out before he had hooked his truck up he had the trailer chocked with a portable ramp.  I managed to wedge it good between the two axles.

A similar story from work. A bus driver took off from a layover forgetting his wheel chock and got it wedged between the duals. It grenaded and blew both tires.

About two days later the same driver took off from a stop and got three feet before smashing the mirror arm into a telephone pole. Needless to say he had a bad week.

Really bad luck!!  Chocking the wheel while under the car was the right thing to do!  Leaving it there, obviously, was not!  We all make mistakes and some are definitely more expensive than that.  Get it fixed and consider it another "cheap" lesson in life!

Again, sorry that happened!

Any of us would be really upset.  Mortally wounded even.  I'm sure I'd loose my cool.  Some would say that shows a lack of maturity.  I prefer to think of myself as a passionate man!
