Trunk divider and jute installation

Do people usually just glue the jute to the divider with 3M adhesive or something? Guess I'm not understanding why they seem to always come as a two-piece set.

That's what I did, with a second divder to make a sandwhich

Jute on a trunk divider?

Is this for a non-factory sound insulation preference?

Both the Chargers, I've owned, did not have any insulation on the trunk divider.    Probably a good idea though.

Neither of mine had the jute on that divider.  You can use something more modern really but to answer your question, a few sprays of 3M 77 contact cement works real nice.  Keeps it in place and can be removed quite easily if needed.
