:flame: So got my car back from paint 2 weeks ago. waiting for rear glass to show up and install before vinyl goes on the top (69 RT).  Glass shows up, glass guy installed yesterday. Dumb ass kneels on my quarter panel to install and now I have a nice little dent in my otherwise perfect paint job. I was calmer than expected by those around me and I am planning on finding a paintless dent repair guy. Anyone have any experience with this, does it work or do I need to take it back to body shop ?

The guy I used did a good job. Depends on how Straight the car. Hard to get it perfect, perfect.

Explain what happened to your body shop.  Ask if they have a particular PDR guy to recommend.

I've had it done several times on several vehicles. Only once was the tech not able to get all the damage out, and it was in a very hard spot.
There's plenty of backside access to the quarters on these cars, so unless it's right on a body line chances are pretty good. The tech should know right away if he can get it out or not.

Yes, talk to the shop, perhaps they can recommend who they use. Might be worth a shot talking to your insurance company, might be a payable comprehensive claim. Or at least talk to the glass company, they would be responsible for causing the damage.

The biggest problem areas where a PDR tech can't work the magic is on creases or body lines. If the paint is chipped or cracked you're SOL.
I've used a local company and had very good results.
Def ask the body shop who they use or recommend. Really good PDR work is worth every dime IMO.

Sorry to hear about the quarter panel. I would be livid too!

Talked to the body shop, they said they can fix it no problem. Glass guy came by today and tried to get paid, balls. I explained to him we would wait until the paint was fixed to see about his bill. Then I explained he was lucky he walked out of my shop on his feet, had he met me in my younger days I can't say it would have gone the same way.

PDR works great as long as the paint isn't broke.  A good PDR guy can fix body lines as well, I had a door ding on my body line of my challenger and he got it out great. Can't even tell where it was now.
