I'm almost afraid to ask-are you trading your 2nd 'gen and something else to get that 1st gen?

One sold here last year for 12 grand, but the seller didn't know the value i'm sure. If it's a real hemi Charger and being a first year Charger w/hemi at least 50 grand to me.

Thats beautiful. The 66 HEMI Charger I had also had a dark blue interior. Was a blue car though... Not sure what they are worth, but if I had a lot of money, I would be glad to have it...

I think that the 66 HEMI Charger was the highest production HEMI car and they are probably about the least valuable. :( I sold mine in 2000 minus engine and trans for $3500 after advertising it in MCG for several months...

$50k is probably high
I'm smarter than I act, But I don't act smarter than I am.

Ok, that's in the ball park. Its supposed to be numbers survivor, fully documented from Galen. Could it be worth a little more? or 50K.

That's a nice car but in the economy we are in right now 12,000-18,000 just depending on we're your out and how your selling and what other features the car has
But it's a really beautiful car other wise

plasticman-32

Ok scratch that numbers all add up survived all that price gos up way way up but that's for someone who's a die hard 1 gen charger lover

I'd say 30-45 grand

Wow, 12K to 18K. I did not expect that. Hmmm. That seems low. But I appreciate the feedback.

Thanks

Not to be a nit-picker (well, maybe a little) but that's a '67.

$12k-$18k for the drivetrain maybe, on a good day. I'd say you're looking at $60k plus if you want the whole car, especially for one in that condition.

Maybe 20k to the right person might take some time though but as a trade in they gonna give u 10k and try to sell for 15k to 20k range on dealer lot.

There's a 66 383 Charger ( with a hemi now ) on CL, they're asking 28,000 plus.

No.... I like my 2nd Gen Chargers. I do like the fact that it is a Hemi car, But, I wish it was a 2nd gen car.

Do you ever think that the 1st Gen Chargers will ever go up in Value? I feel the 66-67 Coronets don't bring the Value either.

Yeah, Looks like it but he has the 67 Fender Blinkers on it. But....it is a 66.

Moparheaven

Im not a Dealer. I just have a car that he wants that's worth more and he wants to trade this car towards it.

I don't think I could buy the drivetrain for 18k

Could I?

Oh, I see. Is it the original engine? If not I'd say it's worth quite a bit less than my previous value. I don't think the first gens get too many Hemi transplants.

a 1966 h code is for a hemi,,,,h on a 67 is for a 383.  :Twocents:

No way. Those values seem pretty inflated to me but if it's as nice as it looks in the pics I could see it bringing the base price retail average of $56,500 they list, especially if you get rid of that steering wheel cover. :D

I hope the steering wheel is nice under that stoooopid cover.  I hope to drive it for a while and have fun with it. The 1st gen Charger was always a love/hate model for me. I think its been growing on me. :icon_smile_big:
