Iv'e been trying to remove the exhaust, The rear and centre have all come off nicely but i'm having problem tackling the 2 bolts that meet the headers, i've been working in metric, I can't seem to get a socket or spanner that fits perfectly on the the bolt, and secondly leverage is an issue, tried to tackle it from below and up top but just will not budge,The thought crossed my mind too invest in a half inch drive ratchet and long extension and tackle it from under. Any ideas and does anyone know the actual nut size?

Thank you for you're time

Spanner probably won't fit because of a build of rust corrosion, try tapping a socket, an old one on so you can get a ratchet on it, hit for a couple of days before with some rp7 or something to loosen it up

I seem to recall using an impact gun to get mine off with a 11/16" socket for the nut and a 5/8" wrench holding the bolt.

I used a mini grinder with a 1 inch diameter thin disk.  I cut 3 notches in the nut,  Then with a chisel, I got the nut to break into 3 pieces and fall off the undamaged bolt.

Thanks guys

I think its just going to be to much of a pain to waste time on takeing out the 2 bolts on each side, As im not going to use the exhaust, would it be ok to cut it just before the bend with a saw?.

I'm confused, which bolts are stuck?  Pipe to collector?  Just cut the bolt heads off.

I thinks it's the ones to factory manifolds , he's going to cut the pipes below that on the elbow shoe can the rest off and out of the way to pull engine

Oh I see, that's lousy access right there!  Agreed, cut the pipe then if you're not going to use it.
