Found a poll on MSN today to vote against the 06 MagnaCharger...

---> Linky; http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8814163/ <---

This one looks like it should be fair at least, you can only vote once. :icon_smile_big:
Right now there's 3,351 votes & we're ahead by 73%

Oh & here's the main article regarding the DOH movie, if you're interested.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

What about those of us who'd rather have a 3rd gen, over both of them?  To be quite honest, 69 is my least favorite 2nd gen.  I don't like the I piece in the grill.

69's got my vote.

I'd take a 69 over that ogly 4 door hulk anyday!

"Back in 1969, the muscle car wars were raging and the Charger was at the back of the pack, said Kahn. It was bigger and heavier than its rival the Ford Mustang and it didn’t stop or handle very well, he said. "

Since when was it at the back of the pack? I dont think it was the "answer" to the mustang.

No they dont. What you see on a third gen is the center piece of the bumper not a I piece incert of the grille.

and of course I picked the Classic,  :icon_smile_big:

HA!
I just noticed this on one of the links halfway down the voting page...

I have a '72 Charger, and used to own a '74 and a '69. My favorite year period is a '69. I like the I piece myself. I just own a '72 because it fell into my hands and I do like ALL '66 to '74 Chargers!

The fact that more than zero people voted for the '06 means that either some people haven't seen a '69 Charger or this thing is rigged.   No sane person would choose that thing over a '69 Charger.

Notice on there comparison chart that the actual Charger compared to the Magnum Sedan uses stats from a 318 engine.

That ain't quite true.  I know many people who just aren't into the classics, and, wouldn't take one, unless you gave it to them. :(

That comparison is so slanted towards the new one.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8802403/

1. like stated earlier they only compared it with a 318
2. The 69 had 230 hp , but stated that its only about 190 by todays standards, in which the v6 has 250
3.  and 4 doors that open and shut , compared to 2 doors that are welded shut  :-\
4. Orange color option compareed to 7 color options for 06 .  Wasnt there like 13 exterior 7 interior colors in 69 ?

The only good things I see for the 69 is  that it has more Passenger Room and that it can jump 2 cop cars  ???

Actually, you may be right.  I WOULD take a 69 over the 06.  Yes, I know, this may come as a shock, but you can't beat the classics.  I still support the 06, however.

Well out of 4574 votes the Charger is still ahead of the Griswolds Family Truckster by 72%.  No surprise there.  But even if there were 100,000 votes for the family sedan and I was the only one who liked the 69 Charger better, I'd still be puzzled at so much bad taste.

I can accept that some like it.  I don't.  And I don't understand it.  But I can accept it.

The world would bore me to suicide if we all liked the same thing.

But I still don't understand it.

Why? Do you think it's an attractive car? I just don't understand the lure of a car has that looks like any other car from the rear and either a Dakota or Silverado at the front.

Because, I like the styling.  That puts me in the minority here, but, my opinions are just that.  My opinions.  Also, I drove one, and was sutibly impressed with it.
