I think I've seen that done to a 70 before but never a 69...    I dunno either.   :Twocents:

I find the hood scallops on the 2nd gen to be one of their defining features myself so anytime I see one of the modifications that eliminate it I find it's not appealing.  Thats just a personal thing though.

When it looks like that and with that paint job makes me think it looks like a Camaro hood

The car looks to be a very nice stock restoration other than that hood. Thank goodness it's an easy changeover. Yuk!  :eek2:

I think if they went with the '69 Charger V21 instead of the RR version it might have looked cooler some how  :scratchchin:

I think I like it. . . I believe it would look better without the stripes, just my opinion.

Except the paint on the cowl!

To me it looks well done, and yes, the car is in nice shape which helps.  However, I don't really see a need to mess with the styling of a Charger.  I  think driving a Shaker hood car is super-cool but I wouldn't ever put one on anything but an E-body.

 nice charger  :drool5: :yesnod:

nice color  too :drool5: :D  ,  ;)

I like that idea of a air grabber on a second generation :coolgleamA: :2thumbs:
,  cooler air for the carb is the pest plan  :yesnod:,  not sure if I would put one on mine though !  :scratchchin:  same as a six pack style of scoop , & a lift off hood , love the  look of the  A12 69 & a half cars  hood ,  would like / was going to put one on mine years & years ago , but would not be happy for long , cause its not factory fitted , IMO second generations  body looks best as factory intended  :Twocents:

:2thumbs: :coolgleamA: :yesnod:  I was thinking that ,  think it would look good , would be a sort of optical illusion  disguising the grabber set up sort of thing  :scratchchin:

You should see the underneath. As pretty as the top of the car. I found the car with this hood setup. Wasn't sure if I liked it either. Going to find an original hood just in case. The car was done up very nicely by the previous owner. Where's the pic of the engine I just dropped in? I can't post the pics.

Mine too.   :yesnod:

Kind of disappointing to see the air grabber on there and not have the functional air cleaner that is needed for it.  Otherwise, not really all that bad looking.  It fits the Plymouths more better though.

There is another 69 being built with just the cowl induction style hood from the 70 Plymouth except without the air grabber.

Grm2159

Have the proper air cleaner setup but it just doesn't fit perfectly. Was made for a 383 setup and I dropped in a 440.

never knew all the repop stuff was avalible  , I've lost track & whats been repoped  :coolgleamA:
if I had a  spare hood , might be tempted , to make something like that   :scratchchin:  may be duel vacuum actuators one for each side,   , only thing is the parts are costly , knowing me  :slap: , would do it & then after a week prefer the stock hood sent up  , like I  said in my first post on here ! the  second generation body is perfect
