I have to say the results surprise me.  I would have guessed Cragar and Keystone as neck and neck for first with Magnums hot behind but definitely second.

The choice really is up to you. My opinion? The choices are all straight out of the 70s. If you enjoy sticking with the old school look, so be it. I find 14 and 15 inch setups extremely boring unless the car is a rare restoration to stock specs. Our cars can be made to corner as well as drag race. Even casual street cruising can test the stock skinny tires and wheels.  The car will never reach its full performance potential with a small diameter setup.

I voted magnums, but mine really aren't magnums, they are 17 inch AR500's which look a lot like a chrome lip magnum 500.  but are much wider than the stock wheels were.  17x11s in back, 17x8s in front.

My dd car has cragar style Heritage wheels which look nice enough, but if I could put magnums on that car I would.

You didn't list slot mags, my charger wore 15 inch ET Slots for most of its life, and I did like the loks of slot mags on the charger, but magnum style rims look sooooo much better.  I also like keystone classics, but they are only available in the smaller rim sizes.
69 RT/SE Y3 cream yellow w/tan vinyl top and black r/t stripe. non matching 440/375, 3:23, Column shift auto w/buddy seat, tan interior, am/fm w/fr to back fade, Now wears 17" magnum 500 rims and Nitto tires. Fresh repaint, new interior, new wheels and tires.

I do like the old school. That's part of a charger. If I wanted new school with big rims I'd be driving a new charger or challenger. Not me, not my car.

Magnums got my vote.
Will be switching over to a new set hopefully later on this month, along with some BFG's.

I saw the mags, love those. In need to find some small bolt pattern for my 66 barracuda, think they would be perfect. I'd love to see those ar500s on a charger, looked them up last night, look almost like magnums

Very well put!!

If I have to pick from the list, then Magnums.

The AR500 is essentially a magnum 500, but they are available in 15-17 inch sizes, only difference is that they are chromed around the lip and don't use trim rings or have brushed aluminum like the original magnum500s did.  I have a set of 14 inch magnums but they aren't near large enough in my opinion.  Wish I could take a side pic of the AR500s installed, but I have a second car sitting next to it right now that isn't running so isn't easy to move out of the way.  I think they look great on the old charger, first new set of wheels its had since I bought it.  (first set of new tires in 30 years)

you be surprised what old timers say about how they bought these cars back in day and claim that all drum brakes are better than disc brakes on any modern car!!!!!  Same with wheels...no need to get bigger than 14inch rims they dont improve performance.....

Crazy things people say......

nvrbdn

i think everyone agrees that newer technology is better than the old suspensions. mine is upgraded. i think everyone agrees that disc brakes are better than drum. and if i wanted to do 80 on an entrance ramp, the old suspension and smaller tires and shocks etc.. arent near as good. pro touring is much better handling than stock 60's technology. larger disc brakes are better than small disc, or drum. but just because 18" wheels will allow larger brakes, that doesnt mean we should all go get them.guys like to say how we just dont get it because we dont want to put this stuff on our cars. truth is, we just dont like the look of the large wheels with no rubber. call it old school, call it stuborn. you will find that the guys who have changed are just as strong against the small wheel look as the guys are that dont like the large wheels.

 thats just my feelings. :shruggy:

Being a mechanic I work on and drive cars all the time with big and small rims. Big rims with low pro tires ride like crap, follow all the groves in the road, cause pre-mature wear to suspension parts and brakes. And most of the ones I see are cheap and crappy. I'm not saying...... Just saying.
