picture help

So I re-sized and re-named pics. Now says wrong type. How do I change type from jpeg to what I need ?

Hmm, jpeg should be fine.

options say jpg, gif, png, pdf. my pic says jpeg.

I found it easier to post it on Photobucket and then post, otherwise its hard to keep the pic under the 800kb.

Change jpeg to jpg and try posting it again.

The file name of your pic should end in ".jpg". Look below the pic attached, you will see the name is testpic.jpg. Does your pic name end in .jpg?

Ha! easier said than done.  Have you ever tried taking the "e" out of anything?

OK, we can fix this. You said that it was saying your pic was the wrong type. So, first thing is to find out the exact file name of a pic you are trying to upload. Since I don't know if your computer is set to show file extensions (sometimes the default settings is to not show them) we will get info from the properties box (I am assuming you have a Windows computer).

1st step - Right click on the pic, a menu box will appear.

2nd step - Left click on "Properties", usually at the bottom,

3rd step - Read the file name in the top box and post it here. EDIT; also post what it says below that, beside "Type of file".

Once we know if the name has the correct extension or not, we can continue on to find the problem. Notice in the sample below that the file name of the pic I posted earlier ends in ".jpg" and the file type is JPEG/.jpg.

im new a the picture posting also and photobucket is the way to go , good luck.
