Welcome to the site---We look forward to the pics to come :2thumbs:  And there is all the help you may need and more available here.

Ghoste

Great to have you  on the site.  There are a couple of threads in the Site Suggestion area that are good tutorials for posting photos.  Don't forget to register it with the 69 Registry.

nvrbdn

welcome tom-cat. the biggest problem is size. you can resize them to a smaller size, but after you do, if you already tried to load them you will need to rename them before reposting them. alot of guys here use photo bucket to work their photos. good luck with that, and again. welcome. :2thumbs:

Not sure on who's the power booster made from , not factory, the master cylinder close to factory look, the off set raised bracket only needed I thought to clear the heads on a hemi engine, SSB brake company maybe, that portioning valve under master cylinder usually down attached to frame rail, looks messy all attached, you can change that , you will have alter change , make new brake lines or order new ones

Yep, what he said. Looks like an aftermarket unit. Maybe from SSBC or Master Power?
What kind of brakes are on the car now?

looks like factory disc up front and drum in the rear.

They make reproduction twin diafram hemi type power boosters that bolt up to the firewall instead of off set out and up like that booster is , that thing just takes up too much space , have a look at some of thread the build threads on here for engine bay shots , by the way very nic car , keep posting photo's on your build , this will be a good one

tom-cat

cool i will definitly check out the other threads and pics are going to keep coming , i like to share my progress.   :2thumbs:

tom-cat

ok so its been awhile and progress is moving just not as fast as i would like . i started the wire harness and looming ,put the drive shaft in,tailights are in ,gas tank, tank pad, fuel neck and gas cap also . i went to stab the steerin column and the sob is hitting the headers the coupling is. heres some pics.

Hard Charger

unfortunately it's "hammer time"

Can you get the header back back off, I had the same issue, machined the boss parts of where the headers contact head,
Changed the angle slightly which will angle header in more towards engine, also will help with clearance with other pipes to steering box , just an option for you,
There's a raised area to most headers to dodges to help gaskets seal,

tom-cat

yes i can take them back off and that sounds like the best way to go im thinging it only needs an 1/8th inch to clear , but yea i really need to take it back off ....damm

ACUDANUT

Different motor mounts might help too.  Solid or rubber types can change everything an inch or so.

won't this weaken the header!! that is a critical part of the header plus that can't be cheap to do.

I wonder what brand of header it is?

tom-cat

what about just taking that coupling off and grinding it down a tad then polish it back out

cdr

just dent the header tube, its done all the time for clearance problems.

You could loosen engine mount and jack engine up while its raised tighten the mount , good for a bit of extra clearance,
But I would do the header face, that 1/8 your talking about , be careful that equates to just a couple of mm to change able of headers at business end by inches , might take you a few go's in and out,
But once your done you won't be taken that off very often if rarely,

tom-cat

copy that , might try and loosen the mounts to budge it over a tad , not sure yet , but thank you to all.

HAMMER TIME like veryone saids.... :icon_smile_big:
