Wow-- are they members of your family or guests?

Members if they want to be. Guests if they don't. These are wild birds that know we're happy to share what is as much there's as it is ours.

All the birds I'll be posting are wild.

All the better that they are wild and they come to visit ----Have you taught them to speak Fred yet?  Polly want a charger

you've got almost the same birds as here ,we've got Corella's as well .do the sulphur crests tear up the place ?

No because we don't feed them so they don't hang around. They fly in every day to have a drink and or bath and then fly off again. If we're sitting out they may come in close to see what's on offer and sometimes they sticky beak through the windows and doors but that's it.

We have Corella's too and Galahs but those birds prefer open fields so they're across the road and although we sight them all the time, they don't fly into our garden often enough to take pics.

We also have a pair of wedge tail eagles with two chicks that nest in a friends back yard (it's scrub and natural bush beyond his one acre of garden) who lives about ten houses down from us and it's fabulous to watch them hover in the backyard. But once again it's too hard to get pics of them.

This guy follows me all around the yard. He's a regular.

Surprisingly not too often. Just a dish brush and hot water does the trick. The bird baths are another matter entirely. They get filthy and need cleaning out at least every other day.

No but they do actually try to communicate.......they're quite talkative.

I know, one minute they're taking a bath and the next they're having a drink. You'd think they could learn to do it the other way around.  I know I don't drink my bath water.

..........just a thought.........they've never crapped in it though so I guess they have some standards.

I'm retired, gives me something to do. lol   Can't drive the Charger every day.
