I've had 4 second generation rams. All 2500 4x4 cummins trucks.
Curious why the 2002 singled out? Same truck as the other years.

The 2002 was only that body style as a one ton.

Dodge introduced a new body style for the 1500 in 02.  Same engine options as the year before.  Hemi's come out in 04

The 2500 got the 01 body style as well.

Ahh Ok didn't know the 1500 was revamped in 02 as you said the 2500 was still the same in 02.

2000 one ton dump, v-10, 5 speed. Before that 87 one ton dump, 360 4-speed. Like the v-10 but man what a gas hog. . Dose anybody make much stuff for the v-10 truck engines.

Ahh Ok didn't know the 1500 was revamped in 02 as you said the 2500 was still the same in 02.

Yes 2002 was the 3rd gen 1500  while the 2500 and 3500 was still 1st gen. In 2003 the 2500 and 3500 got the new 3rd gen body style.

Hemi actually came out mid-year '03 - kind of an 03-and-a-half.  My nephew's is a late year 03 with a 5.7.
