All Veterans NEED to know that their VHA Health Benefits count as insurance coverage if your enrolled in the system. This means all the concern over the new system has no effect on your taxes or VHA coverage.

You can enroll online @ www.va.gov/heathbenefits/enroll , visit any of the over 1,700 places or call 877-222-8387 Mon.-Fri. 8 am to 10 pm and Sat. 11 am to 3 pm Eastern Time to enroll.

The VHA is pre funded through 2014 so they are open and ready to serve your need, even if just to get enrolled. The VHA can can be used for all your needs, or to complement with private heath insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE.

Regardless of your past or present situation I want to encourage all to sign up and inform any Veterans you know to do so also. It's YOUR RIGHT as one who served and the care is second to none. I know, I'm a Veteran and an employee of VHA, we do CARE!  :2thumbs:

Roger that! I lost my private health insurance earlier this year when my wife passes away. Another vet told me I was eligible for healthcare through the VA. Even through all the s**t when I was in, 40 years later the VA still has my six. The care I receive is very good and I'm deeply thankful for it.
Ugly at the time but I'm glad I served and would do so again........even as an old fart.

I work for the University of Michigan Health System and we work with the VA hospital here quite a bit.  We are always amazed, in a good way, of the care that veterans receive and they are always real happy when I refer them over there because they cover just about anything I can give them (orthotics).   :2thumbs:
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

"All they do is walk me to the door with more friggin morphine pills!" That would be better than nothing.  I was told to take Tylenol and tough it out.  :RantExplode:

It helps if you come in and lay on the floor. :shruggy:
