Grille paint:Eastwood argent silver wheel paint

For those of you who have use the Eastwood argent silver wheel paint for the silver on their grille, how has it held up over time? Is there any chance of it damaging the plastic because it's made for metal? I've started my grille resto and would love to know if it's worked well in the long run.

For what it's worth, I used SEM Titanium Silver, perfect in every way. Our resto was finished in March of 2010 and it still looks righteous.

Any good spray can will work, its all in the prep work. I spray a lot of stuff using a gun, but I did paint my grille with spray cans (both black and silver) and it still looks as good as the day I painted it.

Thanks, but I'm more worried about the fact that the paint is intended for metal and whether a chemical reaction could damage the plastic. Sounds like a dumb thing to worry about considering how many people seem to be using it on grills but I just want to make sure.

I use duplicolor dal 1679 acrylic metallic silver.  you can get it at o'reillys for like $6 a can.  sprays nice...wet sands nice if you have a blemish.  dries quick.  durable.  pressure wash my grille all the time to get bugs off and still looks great.  I use the silver can ford semi gloss black engine enamel for the black.  spays nice and even.  dries quick.  it is kind of tempermental when it comes to humidity though.  if it has a haze...consider a drier day or run a dehumidifier. both work well as painting over each other without scuffing.  I thought about shooting over the whole painted grille with a satin or semi gloss clear when done for added protection...but last resto is holding up just fine.
