I was at a wedding (renewal of vows), and this guy walks in wearing jeans and a Mopar T-shirt. Well I decided to talk to him and tell him what good taste he had wearing a Daytona/Superbird shirt to a wedding. Turns out he was the favorite nephew on the bride's side, where as my wife is the favorite niece on the groom's side.
He said he had a 73 Roadrunner and I told him I had a 74 Charger. "Yeah I had one of them too,, Beige colored, but parted it out years ago).
So I showed him a pic of my car. and he said "hey, thats my car !! my Brother-in-law was supposed to have parted it out".
Well we got chatting and I found out a lot of the history of the car and that it was running before I got it with a load of new parts on it. Well we chatted for a while and he said he had all the original paperwork except the 1 thing the state needed for the title to be issued. He was cool and said if I needed any info or help o call him.

The moral of this story (yes, it was true), is just be careful when talking about our cars, its a REALLY small world out there.

I find when you open up to others.. you will be surprised at what you learn. Sounds simple enough but really works.

Years ago I was at my good friend Lyn's shop (Johnson Battery.) sorting out charging issues on my 70 Charger. Another customer who was there walked up and noticed my six pack and commented he had a 70 six bbl GTX a few years ago. He commented that he sold the car to 3 brothers and they screwed up the car but never paid the rest of the money owed. Long story short was my six pack was off that car! 2 brothers had sold the six pack to the guy I bought it from telling that guy their brother was in the hospital when really he was in jail.
