68 Charger Door Mirror Cable question

Installed mirror today and think I am missing a clip or clips that mount inside the door panel to keep the cable from scratching the glass when window is down??

maybe hold in place with a zip tie?

there is a clip or bracket that is supposed to be there. resto manual shows it but doesn't provide info on.

when I striped mine down for  the resto , the car had never previously been apart , door plastic still intact etc ,  think mine was actually built on a Friday afternoon  ,  one of the things that weren't done properly or fitted was the drivers door mirror cable clip ,   mine was there but not connected to anything just on the cable ,  & the cable actually  went round infront of  the vent window frame from memory ,  the clip  I think from memory  looks like  the same as the antenna/ aerial cable to dash frame clips , or rear side glass inner  plastic anti scratch or shield thingys   ,  cant be 100 percent sure was over 12 years ago since I put it back together

also just looked on ebay  , I know ford  , that this is sort of what they look like , although a little longer I think    like I say going by memory

 now having said what I think I remember  , had a search through ebay , found a repop mirror &  comes with clips  pretty sure they not correct , although the metal one looks sort of familiar     , still stand by the clips I mentioned above   that I think I remember , or actually remember   I think

Now that would be awesome! Anyways I purchased the repop from Classic Industries and it not come with any clips!

My 73 takes these and they just pop into a hole on the front of the door.

 ok took pictures ,   funny cant remember clipping it there    but was a long time ago !!   I have a repop mirror too , ( original was pitted & glass loose , so decided to get another ,  like I mentioned the clip that was hanging free just clipped on the cable , on the clear  sleeving part , that part is not on my repop one ,  cant think why I never put  length of plastic on then as the clip dont / did not   hold the cables tight , in position , must of been a reason 12 years ago  

any way  looking how & where I clipped it on ,  & other places it could be fitted , think the clip that was is on mine is not the correct one ,  assembly line mistake maybe   that's why it was not clipped any where  just left hanging    , I think the correct clip is in the picture I posted B of the repop mirror ,  when fitted will / maybe at a better angle etc
 ((((like I say  , my charger had never previously been apart & unrestored  & with sloppiness ive  found & errors  & things left off my car  , ( this  actually was built on a Friday afternoon , even the SPD calls for a Friday

that clip on mine  is the same as what holds the antenna cable to dash frame & glass scratch guards as mentioned above !!    ,  think it was put on in error , clip in picture B above looks the better choice
