FIREFIGHTER3931 -

How about performance on my engine, im going from 17/8"/3" collector to 2 " primaries with a  3.5 " collector to 3" exhaust im guessing with it being able to breath easier it might help on torque

firefighter3931

What is the engine combination ;  heads/cam/compression etc....

Top to Bottom - Holley 850 DP MEc sec, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, MSD IGN/DIST, Edelbrock ALum heads, roller rockers, Edelbrock performer RPM cam, high volume water water, alum housing, speed pro pistions, hp rods , int balanced stock crank, deep oil pan.  compression is 10:1 , running 3" exhaust currently.

I know I could have a more aggressive cam, but it been good to me so far.

That should run fine....you have a good top end on the engine with free flowing heads. Typically a 1 7/8 header is the better choice but you won't loose much torque and probably gain some horsepower....a bit of a trade off. If you decide to build a stroker in the future you will be all set with the exhaust.  :yesnod:

I purchased the 2in TTI's for my old 446 and it ran great ; similar build to yours with a bigger solid cam. I knew that at some point I would be going stroker so the 2in was a good choice. The dual plane RPM intake is much better than what I had on the old 446 so the torque drop off won't be much using that intake manifold vs the single plane mine had (Holley Street Dominator)

Are you trying to see how low they hang?  On my car they are visible from underneath the car when you're looking at the car from the sides.  They're about as low as I would like them to be with the Hotchkis suspension doing its thing...

mopar0166

I want to see how close they get the cross members and how well they line up with the through the same.  I attached a pic for example, its not my car.

mopar0166

AH I said why not, I bough the headers and should be here Saturday

although, if people are looking for these, jegs said they couldn't get me a pair till May 31, I quickly canceled the order, cause summit had them ready to ship same day same price.

Good move, you'll love em....

It doesn't look like anyone answered you so I will...  I was told no, these are separate companies.

As for this thread I'm probably going Hedman or TTI.  At least TTI gives me a couple options for my 318.  For a 73 Dougs only lists a header for a 5.7L hemi, nothing that fits a 5.2L.  Is anyone running Doug's on a 318?  Mine has a Comp Cams Xtreme energy 20-221-3 cam, performer intake, 1406 edlebrock and straight dual exhaust now.  Just need to ditch the stock case iron exhaust.
Wife said spend more time with me and less time with that Mopar.
I actually love being single!
