How many '66-'74 Chargers do you currently own?

1
2-4
5-10
11-20
20+ please specify

bull

I know some of you guys probably own more Chargers than I have ever seen. I don't know how you guys do it but I commend you if you're a multi-Charger owner.

Once again, I'd have to say Travis takes this one.

Excellent topic but I don't think you get a true picture by the numbers you put up for the pole. It seem to me to be too broad.....I would do more like this

1
2-4
5-10
10-20
20 + ( and title of hoarder)......just kiddin!

I have 2 Chargers both 2nd gens but I would like to know of the people on this board what the largest group would be. Guys with only one car or do most have at least 2 since having a parts car is always desireable.

That'd be my guess, with Jude comin' up strong.  :yesnod:

I've got my two currently, but hope to add a "68 at some point. :2thumbs:

I have two and so does Pocketthunder, but I think ITSA426 has 10 first gens and all are running and roadworthy. :o

Travis has got us all beat.  He's got more Chargers than you can shake a stick at.
When I was just a very young lad I looked up and told my dad, a bareback rider's what I wanna be.  I want the whole world to know about me.  In the rodeo arena I'll make my stand.  I wanna be a rodeo man.  I'll come flyin' from the chute with my spurs up high, chaps and boots reachin' for the sky.  Spurin' wild with my head throwed back, you'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.  You'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.

Dodge-Charger

Counting parts cars and daily drivers I now have 14 with 2 to pick up. I am able to make about 11 drivable Chargers all from 71-74. I am going to look at another one in a week when the guy gets back home. That will come to 17 total if the deal goes through. I have a buyer for 3 as a package deal so I will be back down to 14 if he buys them.

triple_green

I have two and a 69 426 hemi.

I figure I'm not in trouble until I have more Chargers than kids.

Yeah we just have the ten, not including parts car.  Oh yeah there are three Coronets also.  All insured and driveable.

Per Sydmoe's request I changed the voting options. His point makes sense because as he said it was too broad of a range,

Thanks Bull........only problem is I already voted!....Someone who has only one Charger put a vote in the 2 column to offset my earlier vote.

Thanks

I voted 5-10 but I truly don't know I will have to get an accurate count.,

As for Chargers, I only have the two at this time. The 69 R/T SE triple black 440 car and a 74 hardtop 318 car. The 69 runs and drives, but is in primer right now and the 74 runs and drives, but just barely. I have owned 9 chargers in the last eight years. Four 69's, three 68's, one 66 and one 74.

I have two Chargers a 68 and a 72 Ralley I have not yet picked up but I have a deposit on it and will go get itv in two more weeks.  I also have a 70 Challenger convertible.  That makes me wonder how many Chrysler Muscle cars do you own A, B, E, F or even C body if you count the hurst 300, and I surec would?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I know it's not me, I just have the most oddball ones! :icon_smile_big:  I'm sitting at 11 second gens (including "parts cars"-I will restore them much later) now and a good friend has 4 second gens........

Is that blue one on the bottom left a 68 Satellite?

The only problem with owning so many cars is the maintenance issue. I've mentioned it before, but I have problems with batteries, tires and brakes. I tend to focus on keeping a couple of cars ready to drive and show at any one time.

i have six running , registered and insured mopars and i have 3 stored that don't run. all my mopars have onboard maintenance  batt chargers. i keep them plugged in  all yr long . batts last alot longer that way. make sure your tires are at correct tire pressure so they don't flat spot. i run all my cars at least once a week and bring them all to operating temp. plus i try to drive them at least once a month. i enjoy taking care of them. it's my second job. it's my little museum and I'm the care taker. plus i have 6 running motorcycles that are all plugged into a single maintenance charger. plus 2 project bikes.  Rene

My hat is tipped to travis, he has me beat by a long shot in second gens.......  It won't be me dethroning you anytime soon Travis, as I want to get some of my current projects done after I graduate.  I've started to become very picky in the Charger projects that I pick up, I'm only going for the rare ones now (300 or less made).  I still have a want list, but the prices for my want cars went way up too....  Guess that is the price you pay when you start seeing a goal in collecting them (me now) vs. just hoarding them (as I used to do).......

I have 2.  My 69 is under the knife getting some new metal.  I have a 68 also that I plan on unloading when the weather gets warmer.  I got it as a parts car, but there is nothing really I need or can use for my 69, and it's restorable for someone that wants to tackle it.  Both of mine are factory 383 cars with A/C, buckets/console.
