Dash Pad Separation - Best Way to Fix?

OK, so I picked up a center non-A/C dash pad from eBag, I want to put it in my '68. I'm waiting for it to arrive.
There is a little bit of separation of the pad as seen in the upper left corner. Does anyone have any successful recommendations on repairing it? The repair is gluing foam to metal.

I have some adhesive ideas in mind, just looking to see what anyone else has done and if it was successful.
Here's a pic.

I just finished putting my 68 dash back together, had the same problem in a few areas. I cleaned all the crap and junk out of the areas and used JB Weld. It's only been two weeks so I can't give you any long term feedback.
I've had good luck in the past using JB Weld for fixes that I wasn't sure would work. Only time it let me down was fixing a crack in my son's radiator. The antifreeze eventually dissolved the JB Weld.

that's it urethane windshield  glue  ,   just looked up sikaflex , never realised there were different ones , when I would order stock  I just  ask for it over phone  , they would send the correct one    we    used few diferent makes  , depending on who does the best deal when we run out :yesnod:

  this is the  3m one

with all these  , before opening the tube , think of what else needs sticking with this stuff , because once its opened even when sealing the nozel up , will still go hard inside tube after a  month or 2 . maybe less !

Cool.
Using that was a method I contemplated. That or a glop of clear silicone.  :yesnod:
Will the 3M work as well as the Sikaflex?

W/S urethane is what I use too. Works really well as long as you can let it cure good and proper. like a week to be safe IMO.

doubt very  much  silicone sealer will work , think it will just pull away when its set ,

if you get the  correct sikaflex its same as 3m   , there are two one is a fast curing , other  takes  half a day  or over night type thing ,
kent  automotive   do one  , so do wurth  also ,  they always the   the most expencive  though  , & basically   all same  product

once stuck in place  put it face down with a some type of weight  on it to hold it together , clean any unwanted  urethane off with ordinary panel wipe / paint shop degreaser

Cool. Windshield urethane it is, then.
I was going to lightly clamp them together using a squeegee on the vinyl for protection.

that's a good point  :2thumbs:, if your using a large quanties  ,  forget the recommended curing times , as that's just using it to stick in glass etc ie almost half inch bead coming out a V shaped nozel , give it plenty of extra time to set  :yesnod:

yeah that would work  :2thumbs: :coolgleamA:  ,  although because I over think everything when it comes to the charger  :image_294343:  think I would try to put it face down thought with weight , just so the weight clamping force is evenly distributed  :scratchchin:
