seems to be that this stuff is supposed to be the best out there. anyone using it? a local engine builder for the water lovers says that the new gas simply eats these engines up. star tron lasts 2 years on new fuel. he has found it to be the best and added 1 mile per gallon in his trucks performance. within a short time the engine runs smoother and has better performance.:shruggy:

I use this in every one of my vehicles now.  Noticed within one tank that my idle on my charger smoothed right out and had more pick up to it.  My daily driver 07 F150 also had the idle smooth out a LOT!  Used to have hick up every now and then at idle and no longer.  Also noticed better mpg in my wifes explorer.  So far, it seems to go a lot further than what the Sta-bil did and it really outlasts the duration of Sta-bil too.  Granted, I haven't put it to the 2 year test yet but I also don't plan on letting my cars sit for that long.

I've been running it in all my small engines because the Stihl dealer recommended it when I bought my brushcutter a few years ago. Seems to keep the fuel fresh and keeps the mower from fouling out. Guess I should try it on the wife's car and see if it makes the same difference...

Never heard of it, is it a fuel stabilizer then?

In short, it supposedly adds certain enzymes to the fuel, which are catalysts, so your fuel would burn more efficiently.

I thought it was another bottle of snake oil under a different name but I'm willing to look into this further.

my mechanic says ethynol can break down as fast as three weeks. in most vehicles this isnt a big problem. but a bass boat with a 50 gallon tank that wont get completely used most of the summer, or a chain saw/weed eater/leaf blower that takes most of the summer to use a gallon of gas will be more in line of seeing engine damage. he said he repairs so many boat engines just due to the fact that they are using bad gas. this additive preserves the fuel (even mixed with 2 cycle oil) to protect the engine from damage.he also said it is very important to measure as per the instructions. do not just dump it in. and dont add other chemicals on top of each other. he stated that using seafoam by the guess method and then putting something else on top of it will take away from its performance. and going over the recommended amount isnt a good thing either.

again, this is what the mechanic is saying. that is why im bringing it up here to see if anyone can attest to this product. probably dump some in the charger.
