That fender tag has been removed and stripped. You can see pitting in it in a couple of areas, which is what's left over after removing heavy rust. It is surprising that they didn't repaint it; if not to make it look correct then at least to prevent it from rusting again.

Dodge called it "charcoal/black" but I agree with you, it looks black to me too. It was available on all Charger models.

Very similar to my Charger. My car was a dealer demo as well but with an earlier build date.
I am not big on the colour combo of the ebay car...maybe it looks better person.
