A few months ago I had a local place quote me about $250 to recore my radiator. When I got there today I was quoted $550!  :brickwall: I'm like "No way dude, I can get a repo for less."
So, now I'm in the market for a new one. Obviously I want an exact fit. Don't need to be jerking around making something fit.
Here's what I've found so far:
Yearone - $393.99 + oversize shipping.
Classic Ind. - $359.99 + $57.90 shipping less 20% discount (ends today) = $345.89. (not in stock, may be 2-4 wks).

I'm looking for OE replacement for a 1971 Charger 383 w/air, 26" rad. Car is completely stock.
Any others out there?
Any companies to stay away from?
Thanks.

I got a modine years ago from a radiator shop that never has had issues.  4 core I think since I have AC in my 70.

These guys build them (original Copper/Brass or Aluminum), but you can probably buy them cheaper through a middle man.

I bought mine 22" made by them through YO, saved $100.00 bucks. Quality is outstanding.

Go to Ferndale Radiator. Mel is the owner. He's a straight shooter and does lots of classic work.  :2thumbs:

As long as you have to ship anyway, why not ship yours to be recored.
I used these guys.  Now let me say it is only an hour and half from me ... but they did an AWESOME job, triple core.
Mine for my 73 was $344.00.  And you have YOUR radiator, new core, painted black, all new!!!

Thought I had exhausted all my local leads back last winter but I just found a place about 6 miles from me that quoted me $355 + tax to recore mine.

Hey bud, contact A & B radiator in Ann Arbor.  The guy there fixed a gash in my rad, steam cleaned that sucker until it was shiny on the inside and painted it black.  All for $45.

A few weeks ago I took my new sending unit in to have the old resistor welded in place.  He even cleaned it up after I made it dirty.  No charge at all.

I got one for my challenger and one for my daughters 225/6 both direct fit and look just like the original from Summit direct shipped from ready rad.  About $300 per and free shipping.  I couldn't find it on the web site and had to call them.

Ship it to me, I'll have him fix it and I'll ship it back.

He'll get my business any time.  He'll also be taking care of checking and charging the a/c system.

I'll give a call in the a.m.
Mine is seeping all over the place. Not sure it's an easy fix. I'm sure if it was cleaned it would leak like a sieve.
