Thanks for the pm's Fred and others.    Been busy working and dealing with my dad dying.   He's not gone yet, He's in Nashville with my brother.   I took the family up for a vacation to spend time with mom & dad and made my kids understand this is probably the last time they'll see grandpa.   I wish I was closer.    So, skippy's got a bit of anger, sadness and just not that much to say lately.    My parents just had their 50th wedding anniversary a few days after we found out.
He has stage 4 colon cancer that's spread to his lungs.   He's 72.

Really sorry to hear the sad news mate. 72 is way too young to be leaving this world. You're in a tough place at the moment that's for sure and though it's a slow and arduous journey, I know, with Lisa by your side, you'll come through it alright in the end. We're all rooting for you.
Love and best wishes to you both.
Fred & Erika.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Sorry to hear that. I know when my dad passed (and it was sudden, he was only 46) I had anger/depression issues, but it's part of the process. It took me a while to get over it but it's been 13 years now and the good memories far outweigh the bad ones. I do wish I could have dealt with it better in retrospect but I think losing a parent at a relatively young age was a big part why I handled it the way I did. It's not easy, but it gets better.

Sorry to hear about that, best wishes to your family.

Sad to hear the news.  Too bad they didn't catch it earlier as it is recoverable if caught soon enough.  My dad was diagnosed with colon cancer 20 years ago, and got past it with Chemo.  Then got throat cancer and survived that too.   Still alive and kicking at 82.  However, he's starting to liquidate his hobby collection, and giving us our inheritances a few years early, he just sold his Harley and sent me a check from the sale (i said i'd take it without selling, but the wife probably wouldn't let me drive it) Anyway, he's selling one of his volvo's and passing that to me also, And giving me his 1 owner volvo 544, mainly to equal the value of the 51 mercury that is going back to my older brother.  My younger brother died 4 years ago from cancer, totally out of the blue, never smoked, never did drugs, didn't even drink that i know of,  You'd think people that try to live healthy would last longer than those of us that have abused their bodies.

Little of what we say is going to make much of a difference right now, with you and your family in the middle of this pain.  But, when you're able to, focus not on the end, but on the 72 years that you and your family have shared with that man, with memories both good and bad.  Personally, I envy you sir-my father lost his battle with cancer at 48 and my mother lost hers at 53; I wish I could have had more time with them both, but I thank God that I had the time with them that I did.

Ultimately, all we can do is steel ourselves against the bad that life brings to us, while making sure to wrap ourselves around the good that life brings to us.  Additionally, you'll always have us to talk to; we may have our heated differences but we are still here for one another...

Sorry to read this, sir.  Taking your family to visit their Grandfather and him having family with him at this time are all things a lot of us just do not get to experience. May your father be in heaven well before the devil knows he is gone!

Sorry to hear about the news.  I haven't been on the forum as much lately and just lost a neighbor to cancer last week.  He was about to turn 69 and would stop by anytime he saw the garage open to check out the progress on our charger.  One of those random friendships that ends just as it began.  Our thoughts and well wishes will be sent your way as your work through this.  i know it is hard but makes you appreciate the time you have with family and friends

I feel for you. My mom assumed room temperature on June 27th & the two months prior were tough. Since her death, it's been non-stop dealing with her home, bills and related affairs.  Dealing with my brother & sisternow is far worse.  :brickwall:

I wish you & your siblings lots of strength.

Thanks guys.      Sorry but I just don't have much to say these days.    I'm sure for some of you my silence is a blessing hahaha.    I just can't seem to shake this anger.

Anywho, thanks again guys.    You're all good folks.
