Ok, I have searched threads and I see the 68 Charger door is different mainly where the lock goes through the top of the door panel.  Is there any other main differences?  I have a 68 Charger and the pass door was creamed hard.  I found a 69 Charger door but I am wondering, can I simply drill a new hole for the door lock and bolt the internal guys from the 68 door to the 69 door?  That said, if it wont work, does anyone in Central FL have a 68 Pass Door?

Thanks,
Jon

If your 69' door trim (the stainless peace by the window) is good, no problem minus the hole for the door lock rod . But if you are using the 68' peace on a 69' door you'll need to look at the mounting holes. The 68' top rear, the last hole is inside the door shell, as the 69' is just on the outside of the door shell.

Hey Curt which piece of trim is it? Its easier to modify while in primer, versus paint. I appreciate the i.sight!
Thanks,

he's talking about the top stainless ,it has the clips along it except for the ends ,  do you have all the hard ware for inside the door , especially the locking rod, different location , different set up

Oh, ok. I have the orig 68 door complete and the new 69 door bare. I was planning on swaping all the guts from the 68 to the 69. That should work right, other than the lock hole and trim holes?

Thanks,
Jon

when was the SPD ? if it was built 68  would of had black , mine did !! not sure when the cut off was between chrome & black , all cars built on or after January first 69 had chrome  or did they just use the black buttons up first  :shruggy: ,  but generally 69s  actually  assembled in 1969 got chrome buttons  :yesnod: & all of the original unrestored 69s ive seen , that have had a SPD of sometime in 1969 ,  have had chrome  :yesnod:
