Ive seen certain emblems on 66-67's for a 440 engine but can anybody tell me whats the correct one and where to get em? Pics would be nice.
This is gonna be cheap and easy......

i haven't seen it in awhile but if i remember correctly it is similar to the 383 and 426 emblems but just the 440 part, it didn't have the four barrel or hemi designation under it that the other two had

classic industries and yearone don't have it online at the moment

If you are talking 66-67 Charger here is what was available.
Both years had the Charger script and arrow on the sail panel as well as the round Dodge Division with Fratzog on the trunk.
In 66 d-o-d-g-e was spelled on the hood but letters similar to the Challenger in later years.
Engine emblems are: 318 and 361 = V8 emblem. 383 4bbl = 383 Four Barrel. And Hemi = 426 HEMI.
In 67 they did away with the 361 and introduced the 383 2 bbl and 440. The 383-2bbl took the V-8 emblem and 440 = 440 Four Barrel.
Also in 67 the hood letters were different embossed with black in the center of each letter.
Pics below.

67 440 cars also said "440 MAGNUM" as well....says the 2 original 440 cars up here next to me

link for what? we are talking about the engine call out emblem on the side of front fenders. Bob stated it pretty clearly a few posts above...

the "MAGNUM" word takes place of the "FOUR BARREL" word on the metal emblem.

Try searching "440 MAGNUM EMBLEM" in your browser search bar at the top of your computer screen, I'm sure pics will come up.

Can't go with ya on the Magnum emblem Bryan.  That didn't appear until 68.
And it is not in any parts book in 67.
If there is a 383 Magnum emblem on a 67, some one put it there after, it is not stock.

A383Wing

ok...whatever...I got 2 original cars up here, original owners that say different..I guess books don't lie, huh?

not talking about the 383 MAGNUM emblems, I'm talking about the 440 MAGNUM emblems on the fenders in 67 Chargers

Ghoste

Was the 440 not a Magnum in the Coronet RT for 67?

Dodgerdallas

It would appear that my simple question has created a magnificent sh*t storm...

Not at all, there arre many absolutes in this hobby that get changed only because of sincere debate, further investigation and body of evidence.  This is a useful discussion.
What are the build dates on the cars Bryan is talking about?

UFO

My 67 parts book lists the "magnum" emblem.

ODZKing

And it doesn't list 383 4bbl ... so, none of them are correct.
It's like the argument about the red/gold grille ornament.
Everyone has their own opinion.  The one fact everyone will agree on is, it's your car ... do what you want with it.
:shruggy:

Ghoste

Is that page for Charger or Coronet?  It also lists the 1/4 panel medallion.

UFO

The listing for the 383 is near the top of the page.
The page is for the charger.

mauve66

does it list the front grill medallion????  even though i KNOW they were gold AND red................
