I tried to do a search to see if anybody was in my area but it is not possible. I live near Evanston (Chicago,IL). I just bought a house and hope to start working on misty again this summer. I finally can get her out of my dad's small garage. I would like to meet more people around my area. There are some little things that I can't figure out and would help if I can compare them to another working car. Basically I cannot turn off the darn heat. Possibly the vaccuum lines are not connected correctly. Also the car has not been started in 4 yrs. due to missing teeth on the converter.  What needs to be done before I try to restart her after fixing the converter problem? I of course will install new plugs, motor oil, trans oil and fresh gas, fuel filter. What else? Clean out carburator? Turn over engine by hand from crankshaft?

Thanks for the feedback,
Chris
