Bought a salad from Zaxby's for my wife to take for her lunch last night.  She calls me at 2am just crying and freaking out from finding a frog in her salad.  Here's what was left

It's of the tree frog variety.  It's missing one leg I think.  I asked her if it tastes like chicken  :smilielol:

OK, I guess I see a head there.  Did you have to pay extra for it, or did they just throw it in for nothing?

I think I could dig some of that tongue action but I hope she won't bump her behind every time she takes a step  :slap:

Hard to tell in the first pic because of how blurry it is, but after the 2nd pic, I was able to find it in the first.

You did kiss her to make sure she didn't turn into one though, didn't you?  :slap:

Nope no kisses.   If she turns into prince I don't care how much money he has that'll be it for me.  Never read any stories of princesses coming from frogs

I found a praying mantis at the bottom of a salad once. Wasn't very appetizing.  :puke:

Went to the restraint today to tell them about it to see how it got in there and the manager would only go on about seeing a receipt

Not very much meat on those legs. . Glad she is OK, found a half eatten fly in my Jello cup at work one time,  :eek2:. Stopped eatting at work after that.

I bet there was more than one, don't tell her that.

All joking aside, we've received a couple calls from their insurer.  Never once had we mentioned compensation or money with mgt..  First off all we initially said for minimal expectations were a refund on the salad and wanting the frog checked out for any salmonella or any other disease carrying bacteria plus wanting to know how or who put it in there from the restaurant. Seems like all they're interested in is calling to deny all responsibility for being the source for the frog but offering a token gift for the inconvenience and to go away.  Never brought up any apologies for the bad experience or concern for the wife  :icon_smile_angry:.  Now that gets me hopping mad. I do know that the story has spread across a lot of facebook contacts.  I have people at work that have other people that I don't know posting the frog pic and story all over the place with others I have no relations with.

That's odd.  At the stores where I've found either mold on the food, or plastic pieces in the baked goods, they all done what it would take to make it right.  I was more informative instead of an arse, but I recognize mistakes happen and was cool about it when I mentioned it.

Sounds like Zaxby's doesn't want anymore business.  Spread your story. The less business they have, they'll be more interested in resolving the issue.  We shut down a pizza place in my town over a pickle.

Same here but a little more assertive after the wife went initially and got the run around by the mgr. who was only concerned about proving it was that store and having a receipt.  Pissed her off so she left.  He was the one who actually served it to me  :brickwall: There weren't threats of suit or anything like that.  Just bringing this to your attention as to what happened so it doesn't happen again to somebody else and we want to know why..  The state health dept. got involved and the store owner (who was nice) also called to say she was sorry the wife chewed it up but the frog couldn't have come from her store because of store procedures put in place.  She said she even called the local supplier of the lettuce who said nope, we haven't had tree frogs show up in our lettuce.  There's more than lettuce in salad.  Don't know why they're stuck on lettuce.  Yep the story is spreading and now a newspaper reporter she knows got wind of it and wants to interview and publish in the local paper.

ACUDANUT

Sounds like it was a take out order. Hard to prove, on that point.
