  "removed from a rust free charger"

Do you suppose some people believe themselves? Or was it actually rust free and he got bored and took it apart?

It says "rust free" but doesn't mention if it was "wrecked". Just because the car didn't have rust doesn't mean it may not have been in bad shape. It sounds like a restoration shop so it's quite possible that someone bought a small block car to use as a "donor" for their R/T or Hemi car (it's been known to happen) and this is what they had left (or this is the rare car and they rebodied the cheap one) It's not a terrible price for what you are getting.

Forgot to mention another scenario... people have been known to drop the body of an old Charger on to the chassis of a new one.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

As has been mentioned, those parts could have easily been taken off of a rust-free 318 donor car, perhaps with the intention of using them on an R/T car (if so, it obviously never happened, which is pretty common, considering how many people there are who have dreams that are far bigger than their bank account). Also, those parts could have been removed years ago, when certain Chargers (such as 318 ones) were cheap, yet R/Ts were already getting pretty valuable, such as in the early/mid '90s.

But either way, it doesn't really matter if the "removed from a rust free charger" part is true or not. The parts pictured appear to be rust-free and straight, and if that's truly the case, it isn't such a bad asking price (and someone may be able to talk him down as well). Many, if not most, people place extra value on OEM vs. reproduction parts too.

appears to be from a 70. Note the 3 holes on the upper radiator support

food for thought; my frame rails, inner fenders, shock towers were in perfect shape when i bought my car, (my taillight panel and valance were toast mind you) and i paid less than a 3rd of that asking price  :scratchchin:

Just what is needed to put that rot box with no frame left posted the other day back together!
