Actually, he could be right.  47k is not unreasonable.  Of course I am talking in 50 years when everything is x10 what it costs now.

Heck, just the other day my Grandpa told me about going to the "show" for 11 cents.  They still had to sneak in because of how outrageous that was.

moparguy01

47k pesos? 47k yuen? maybe? and second, how does one come up with that number? "well this car should easily be worth $73,192.07" That guy needs to share some of his drugs.

odcics2

Well, considering it has the "Leaning Tower of Power" under the hood, it should EASILY bring that!    :smilielol:

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

When someone would tell Charles Chesire something like that that back-in-the-day, he would quickly respond... "Well son, that's where two fools parted company"... most "sellers" that he told that to were so clueless that they laughed along with Charles and the others watching...

$2K is how much it would cost in rattle cans to coat the car once or twice, and I got my interior done by a group of very friendly unregistered Democrats for about $300-that's how I did my car... :eek2:

Not sure where he got his 47k figure from, auction quality cars don't usually need paint, interior, and wheels, and not many will swoon with the power of a 6 in the car.  He says he's fishing for a price, he'll likely get none near where he thinks its worth.  Then again many of us suffer from that affliction, Maybe he'll get lucky and the original owner will be trying to locate it.

The 71/72 Satellite and/or Roadrunner is my 2nd favorite Mopar.

Even the one on Counting Cars was a 17k car, COMPLETED.  Everyone should remember, the kid only had 12,500$ to spend.  The only reason it sold for more later was Danny kept it, put more work into it, and sold it to a couple that really just wanted the car.  Many of us exist in the MOPAR world, I was one of them.  I paid 16k for my shell, a little much, but that's after a full rotisserie with the hemi torque boxes welded in and hemi springs.

If only the add was still up, this one time on kijiji in Toronto, there was this rocket scientist trying to sell an 85 pontiac 6000LE for 15,000$...  That's right, not 1500$, 15000$...  I called and asked just because I needed a laugh that day.

To bad you couldn't afford to get some of them Right wingers to do the job. But I guess you didn't want your wheels stolen.

The slow disintegrating quality of this language is disturbing.

"It will sale for 47K?"

These people with poor grammar infect the population. When we allow these idiots to get away with it, MORE people see it as normal and follow suit. It is similar to crime. When you condone it, you may as well be approving it.
