New License Plate - I Think You Will Like This

So, I got my 2013 Plum Crazy Challenger RT three months ago. Still crazy happy with it.

The new plates finally showed up from the DMV. When they say 12 weeks, they mean 12 weeks. 

California has a special program with a custom plate to honor veterans, meaning the money for the license fee goes to veterans support groups (not the DMV or general fund). Only problem is that it has to be 6 characters, not 7. But I solved that issue as you will see shortly.

As you can see on the plate pic, there is a unique sticker that goes on the left side. There are about 100 types of "logos" available to identify with branches and divisions of the military, and one of them is the insignia of the branch that my father-in-law (RIP) served in in WWII (Army Air Force).

I am damn proud to honor him, and all other vets, with this not so obvious salute.
