affraid about your future ?, your life, be able to suportt your family and even yourself. Have you ever feel you could be on the wrong direction without time to get back ?

thats how I feel at this moment. I feel I have to fight against the world instead in favor of the world. Dunno if is the global economical situation, or is a personal sensation, but honestly I'm feeling lost at this moment.

Just want to take my Charger ( which is not posible since is 10 hours in plane from me and is getting a deep body work ) and run away from everything.

Seriously, there are times when the smallest of problems can feel like enormous ones, but the reality is that at the end of the day you're still going to be alright. Unless there is a major event that changes things, such as losing your job, your spouse, or failing health, most problems will work themselves out. People that stay focused on the doom & gloom, especially what we see fed to us by the talking heads in the media, have a tendancy to breed negativity for themselves. That can & will effect those around them. I have, & had, a few friends & family members that I avoid because of this.

You can't change the world, you can't change people, & you can't certain things that are going to happen to you no matter what you do, or think. If you stay focused on the things you can't control, then you have less time with the things you CAN control. This stress is going to create havoc on you & it can/will become a physical issue. Sometimes (for myself) it seems easy to get pulled into a negative direction, so you have to remind yourself of it.

I'm doing some major repairs on my house that are using up all my spare time. If I simply stay focused on a specific task & fix it, I get the sense of accomplishment instead of feeling that I want to burn it to the ground.

I just wish I could see into the future. I could have changed a lot of things in my behalf.

I just remembered some words of wisdom about worrying. Must be close to 35 years ago when I bought a small poster that I thought was funny, but also true.....

"There are only two things to worry about.

Either you are healthy, or you are sick.

If you are healthy, then there is nothing to worry about, but if you are sick there are only two things to worry about.

Either you will get well or you will die.

If you get well, then there is nothing to worry about, but if you die, there are only two things to worry about.

Either you will go to heaven or you will go to hell.

If you go to heaven, then there is nothing to worry about.

If you to go hell, you'll be too damn busy shaking hands with your friends you won't have time to worry!"

Nacho,

Ten hours by plane from Caracas, hum... North would put you in Northern Canada, nice fishing and hunting, South would put you in the tip of Argentina or maybe Antarctica if it was a fast jet. East would put you in Libya or Chad. Yea that would be depressing. West would put you in Hawaii. I only feel bad in Hawaii when I have to leave.

OK. kidding aside, I think everyone gets depressed at times and it is good to realize that you are not alone in this.  The question would be how long does it last and is it taking over your life?

Getting enough sleep, and exercise help. Spend time with friends,  work on Charger, clean out garage, volunteer.

Yea the world has problems, always has, but there are over six billion people to help solve those problems and some of them are talented  Mopar Mechanics like you who can fix almost anything.

Nacho, yes there is something big coming that has been brewing for a while. It is an economic collapse which will be an event like the world has never seen. I believe this will play into what the New Testament of the Bible refers to as the tribulation period. Last year I experienced similar feelings, and in a search for truth I ended up turning to Christ. It is so calming to have the word and know what's going on in the world. In my search of the truth, I was completely blown away by the unbelievable amount of evidence for Jesus Christ. Up until that point I thought Christianity was something people just had pretty much blind faith in. I didn't realize that even in the atheist scholar community Jesus' death by crucifixion was indisputable. Now I could go on for days on the evidence that is out there supporting the bible (if youd like you could PM me, or anyone can, please feel free). A really neat gift to us I find is the Shroud or Turin. I'd like to also point out that the bible is 30% prophecy, a majority of which has been fulfilled. No other religion can make that claim. As a Christian, the world will be against you. "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own:but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." John 15:19.

In regards to feeling like you're on the wrong path, I'm happy you question your path. As far as I am concerned there are only two paths. "...strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:14.

Id also like to recommend (to everyone) Mike Maloney's book Guide to Investing in Gold and Silver. This book is an unreal wealth of knowledge on money and where we are headed....hyperinflation. You need to own real tangable assets, not worthless paper promises. If you're worried about supporting your family in times ahead, please read this book, as I feel up to a point in time, gold and silver will help.

I think everyone has their own fears and worries.  But, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yv-Fk1PwVeU  :2thumbs:

You need to do something to take your mind off of things, regroup, and go back at it.  For me, I like to go fishing, for a drive, or sometimes, church.  I enjoy it, but sometimes gets ruined by those that are more religious than I am.  I clear my mind, and go back at it for round 2.  Life can be enjoyable, but it is a fight.

Hang in there.  It'll get better

Fred

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time of it at the moment Nacho. I know that in the past I've questioned what it's all about, why are we even here. What is the point. We toil away to feed and clothe and house ourselves. We do our best but seem to get nowhere......just going round in circles.
Any responsible person would ponder if they've chosen the right path, if this is the direction they should be headed. It's only natural.
Don't let the burden of life get on top of you. Stop thinking about it for a bit. Take some time to sit out and soak up the day..........it costs nothing and can leave you feeling completely at peace.
Be happy with what you have instead of being unhappy about what you have no control over.

I know it's easier said than done but there's nothing else for it. The mind is a powerful tool and if you focus on what's good, it can take you there.
Fred

Yes Nacho,
It seems to me that society is trending in a direction that I do not agree with.
Selfishness seems to be the order of the day.
My father said he felt the same way back in the 1930's just before WW2. :shruggy:

Mi amigo,

I type right now through misty vision at the genuine love and support being sent your way by those of us who have never shaken your hand. Have never shared a meal with you. Have never seen your smile. It is them.....it is you and it is all of those like us......billions of us who will make a positive difference FOR all of us. Lofty sentiments to be sure but all we really have is each other no? You must believe Nacho.

As simple as it reads my life follows these words:

"I must bury myself in activity lest I lose myself in despair".

Don't know how to answer this, but feel like I should write something.  For me...sometimes I have to change my focus to stay sane (make it smaller), take things one step at a time (no matter how small of a step), and find solace where I can (sometime escape - which the car helps), but I nave never given up and hope I never do.  I have not had to change professions or homes - but many I respect have and that is what I would do if it was the only good option.  That is what helps me, so hang in there.
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

I just started getting the paperwork ready to cash in my profit sharing from a job I left 11 years ago just due to this exact reason. It will be the beginning of the one world government which goes along with the rest of your post.

I've felt that way about myself and my entire life for as far as back as I can remember being alive.  My life is riddled with regrets and what I perceive to be missed/botched opportunites.  Like you, I wish I could grab my Charger and just disappear, but life won't let us off that easily-at least mine won't.  One would think the obvious solution would be to take a good look at one's self and ask some hard questions, but it's never that easy.  Personally, I don't know what I want out of life, so even though I know it's not going where it should, I don't know what to do about it.

When will they sell GPS for the soul?  Where do you think your life should be Nacho, or are you just lost?  It's completely natural to feel lost from time to time...

Sorry Nacho.    Have no fear, if it can get worse, it will. I don't worry bout the future as I know where I'm going when I'm gone so this place is only temperary. Good luck and stay away rom sharp knives. :pity:

First off you are not alone, in fact when I first read this thread I thought wow...could have been me posting it, as I am in the same spot.
My situation is some what complex but overall left me  disturbed and in dispair for at least a year, with winter being an all time low for me...
Compared to better times I would say its been at most a "living hell" or at the very least very trying times for me, and this can leave a person with many questions that nobody around can or wants to answer...

Couple thoughts,

-in this day and age were everything seems backwards and leaves you questioning.... a healthy thinking mind cannot help but see an overwhelming scene set for trouble...
The fact that you question yourself is a good and healthy sign, it would be far worse if you weren't disturbed by the troubled reality.

-Even though life is "real",  realize most general people around you have no clue and are lost themselves, thus don't place too much value on what anyone says.

- Think for yourself no matter even if its "wrong".

- don't rely on technology, in fact it does more bad then good (matter of opinion)

-the bible helps

Hard times pretty much show you how much the good times matter, also they teach you many lessons that others are blind too depending on their situation. Remember the guy having all the $$ and fun seems to learn nothing. Everything is a learning exp. and most people seems would  rather drop out and live in "comfort"  rather then question what is already established.

Its so bad that you almost don't want your eyes to be "open" because as a result you see what really " is" and it is so big that an individual has a hard time believing anything can be done about it.

I guess just remember their is allot of good people out their and even in the worst times we will not be alone. What is good and decent for people has been established and this will never change.
