Getting the kids out of the house.  This will be our first time camping at Pinecrest, near Sonora area. Has anyone on here been there before?

Hi John,

The will love it! It's beautiful and this should be a less crowded time to go. Diane and I used to camp/4wheel way down Silver Creek trail near Alpine lake back in the day. You'll have a great time anywhere up there. Lets see some pics of Lilly and Logan making s'mores too. Hi to Julie.

Bring a "deterrent" with you too. Just sayin'

Hi John. Pinecrest is in my background. Great place, but be prepared for crowds. This is peak season and it is filled up with mobs of people. Sorry I don't know what Tom is thinking. Half of the population of the Valley is there until after Labor Day.

The scenery and mountains rival any beautiful wilderness anywhere.

Please make the time to hike to Cleo's Bath. It takes a while but it is awesome.
