I'm needing a new DD and found this one locally and they are offering a pretty good deal. But, I'm on the fence about the color combo. I like white but undecided on the silver stripes...I'm kinda at a stand still with it now.
Honestly, I'd rather have a high impact color like Plum Crazy or Hemi Orange...but I can't find as good a deal on those. Yay or nay on the silver stripes.

That's kinda how I'm feeling...sometimes I look at it and it's "ok" and then sometimes I hate it...I guess I could always remove the stripes and go all white.  :brickwall:

Go ahead and get it, have the stripes removed, and enjoy.  You'll have a  Vanishing Point Challenger. :2thumbs:

Now I 'may' be a bit biased towards black & white cars but that car would look real nice with some flat or satin black stripes.  Not necessarily the same stripes that are on there now either.

How good of a deal is this and how much more would you have to spend to get the color you want?  I'm not one to settle for second best but we all have our price.   :coolgleamA:

It was on last night and caught a few minutes of it.  I'd need a whole lotta booze to consider the two in the same league as far as looks go.

Patience young Skywalker. Hold out on the color you want. You'll be glad you did.

agreed x2.

As the owner of a 2013 Plum Crazy Challenger, I say hold out. It is worth it.

I think the silver on the hood looks ok, not great, but it's the roof stripe that looks goofy. Silver on white on the roof is just so out-of-place as to be almost ugly.  :Twocents:

Thanks everyone. I'm gonna wait.

Here is the SRT8 Core that's new and local MSRP is 40K but can get it for less.
It needs some kind of stripe at least on the hood.

Not keen on the white with silver stripe combo. I it were a dark steel grey, I'd say yes.

PCP all the way.

I will have a pcp srt8 one day. probably when its rusty and needing a restoration lol.

One dealership did do a limited run of newer SRT 8 Challengers in white that were labeled Vanishing Point editions. :popcrn:

Feel free to have a drink on my behalf anyway

if you dont love it, wait around a little, these arent exactly rare 40+ year old cars

get a core PCP,  a set of katzkin leather seatcovers is only 790-1200, deals are everywhere but definitely pick one up, you'll love the car as a dd, and having a high impact color makes a big difference to me, gets way more attention than I thought it would.  Stripes are cheap and easy to do yourself, or get a leftover 12 to save some bucks, discounts are pretty heavy now.
69 RT/SE Y3 cream yellow w/tan vinyl top and black r/t stripe. non matching 440/375, 3:23, Column shift auto w/buddy seat, tan interior, am/fm w/fr to back fade, Now wears 17" magnum 500 rims and Nitto tires. Fresh repaint, new interior, new wheels and tires.

I like the combo as well.   Not one that is seen much and not part of the "me too" crowd :Twocents:

Personally I don't like strips on the roof, to Mustangish.

I think one of my problems is the stripes in general...seems like they belong on mustangs and camaros not Mopars.
Stripes look good on just the hood.  :shruggy:

I'm not a fan of the stripes over the car.
As to the color I wanted B5  blue when I bought mine but it wasn't available for a few months and I couldn't wait.
Now I have grown to like the silver to the point I would not make an even swap for the blue.
This goes to show me that tastes can change which makes it all the harder to know what you will like best in the long run.

I dont care for those type of stripes at all... doesnt matter the color.  I like the ones like this.

i dunno, I like how the silver looks on white. Then again, I've always been partial to that color combo... :icon_smile_big:

I really like the white with silver...    but then again this isn't my car.   I am going to add dark gray stripes on my light silver car myself...        but if I would do white it would be with silver or gray stripes....    not a fan of white cars with black stripes - too sharp of contrast IMO

  stripes seem complicated on the modern stuff to my eyes for the most part and the longitudinal stripes feel Cheby... (but that is just me)  :hah:
