Hey gang,,
Was wondering what you can decipher from these pictures. It's the housing I was going to use on my 426 Hemi motor for my '68 Charger R/T.. The part # is obvious, but the other stampings I can't "decode"...

Any help would be appreciated...
Troy

1. part #
2. date code?

Looks like a 7/28/67 casting # .....good for an early build 68 no?

Thanks Chris,

Mine's a Mar.'68 built car..... For me, probably close enough... I was thinking, but was unsure due to the number grouping....

The decoading book says it will fit/or came from
1967      A  383
1967-68  BC  383 440  LESS AC
1968      A  383
1968-69  B  426  HEMI
1969     ABC  383 440
AND
Many other's 69 big blocks and
70  BCE  383 440 426
71  BCE  383 440 426

Thanks Dan, are you referencing the part number? I was more inclined on figuring out the casting date. and if it's earlier than Mar.'68, when my '68 was built? But either way, I'll probably go ahead and use it...
