I will say i would have felt bad for the car if it would have been a 69-70 M1. Those 71-73 ouff almost as ugly as those late 70 gia mustangs.

I saw a late seventies chev just like that but hit tree from the other side. (The car had to be jacked apart to get if off the tree)
The driver was balled up under the glove box on the floor. Drunk and other wise ok.

not every wreck like that is fatal,  I once bought a green/green/green 69 RT that had whacked a telephone pole hard enough on the right side behind the front wheel to put a U shaped dent into the engine bay, the pole was snapped in half, the car was twisted pretty badly but the owner walked away from it.  I think being drunk may have helped.  The car didn't have much worth saving, but i did get the motor and transmission out of it, and into my 69 r/t se.  Had to break off the right side exhaust manifold with a sledge hammer, couldn't get a wrench in there to unbolt it. 

Now if there was a passenger, i would think there'd be blood stains or body parts laying about, a passenger would not have lived through that, but the driver may have.

It is true that being drunk may save ones life because it helps prevent shock from doing what it needs to do. However being drunk does nothing for others involved.

Prolly some idiot who bought another from the US and now it's gone. As for the theory of too much power, it appears to be a 302/351 Windsor with automatic. Not really a powerful combo in the picture. My guess is another 'canyon carver', or "Drift king", let it get away from him/her.

Not sure if I call mine worse or not but I walked away with a broken schnazz and a few scrapes and cuts.  My co-workers at the time renamed me Morris as in, I used up most of my nine lives.

Im going to say it wasn't a fatal with the car sitting in someones yard and not an impound/police lot??

I agree that the power is not what caused this.
There are many cars and bikes that a newbe can buy that can reach 180+ and no one will ask if they know how to handle it.
Mechanical failure is seldom an issue.

When you're used to a mule and a 2 wheel cart, that 302 is pretty fast.
