Looks like a normal wedge motor....not a max......funky at the back - maybe an industrial or marine motor?

Like I said, I don't know anything, but comparing pictures...it doesn't seem to add up that's for sure

JB400

The tag on it says it's for industrial use.  It was probably hooked up to a generator or something along those lines.

It kinda looks like it says Original Engine to me....hard to tell by the little crappy pics.

The more I look at it....that may say Industrial

rick@laysons

The stand it's on reminds me of the set-ups they used for center pivot irrigation.

Chrysler supplied a lot of industrial engines for the irrigation/agriculture industry.

Yep, definitely an industrial.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Sure not a Max Wedge! I had one in my 68 Road Runner for years!
I am back

LMAO! A 'Max Wedge' With what appears to be a 2BBL????? :smilielol:

People kill me with these type ads. NO research into what they are trying to sell whatsoever. I mean, GOOGLE has millions of images of real Max Wedge engines. WTF???

Block=junk.(pistons are crazy overpriced. Weighs as much a s 440)
Heads/intake/carb=junk
Crank [If 1962-later 6 bolt, MIGHT be ok for stock 440 replacement]
Rods = Junk

$500.00 for a possible crankshaft.

Max Wedge is likely the most misused/overused term in the Mopar world.

The block, crank and rods are just as usable as any other BB parts. The "H" identifies it as a '72 so it's a forged crank.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I'm not an expert on Mopar blocks either, but didn't all Max Wedge motors have the crossflow dual-carb setup?  Or at least most of them?

Yup, Industrial engine. They used a lot of those in the old self propelled combines. You can still run across them now and then and you can get the whole combine for $500, pull the engine out and scrap the rest for $500.
