The 1968 manual calls for 1034 lamps. 1157 will work but ther may be amp draw or heat issues. I am sure others will chime in

1157 are 2 filament bulbs, I just looked
At the wiring going into the base( should have
looked closer from the start)
The innermost lights have one wire, therefore
single filament bulb.
Soooo, are the two outer light's 1157
and the 2 inner lights 1156's (or 1034's
That's if the 1034 is a single fil bulb)

:iagree:

Using an 1156 for the inners make them brighter than the outers when the headlights are on... :nono:   Major faux pa  :slap:

I agree... Just finished going through the
motor/trans.
Now fixing the smaller stuff. The PO had
the 1156's in the inner locations. It just
didn't seem right that they were brighter
than the others....
And it wasn't :icon_smile_big:

or change the sockets and use 1157's in all 6, that way you got 6 tail & brake lights...I did it to mine

Are the 1095 bulbs available? Nobody seems to have them. Sources anyone?
Parts store around here have 1141 which is a 18w.
There is also a 1003 which is a smaller bulb and same size base (maybe 8 watts?)

Lol!
Just looking at that site... Google search showed a guy
on the Dart forum asking the same question.
Found a local shop with a 7.9W bulb, we'll see how it works.

#67 & #97 are replacements for the 1095 with the same wattage/base  & are readily available

I use #67. I believe they look the best. They all look uniform when lit. I can show a pic later if you would like.

I researched this a while ago for my Charger. Here are the specs I found;

#1095  - 7.14 watt
  #67  - 7.96 watt
  #89  - 7.54 watt
  #97  - 9.32 watt

The #1157 outer bulbs are  8.26/26.88 watt

The 89 is closest in wattage to the original 1095, but I went with the 67 because it is closest to the 1157 park wattage and easy to find. I think that gives a consistent brightness between the 3 bulbs.

Bulbs are not that expensive so you could buy 1 each of the 3 different ones and try them on one side to see which you prefer.

What he said...although I don't have a video & my car is more beat up...not nearly as smooth, shiny, sleek & polished :icon_smile_blackeye: But somehow it still looks goood some days. :coolgleamA:

Oddly, without the camera you don't really notice the centers of each bulb, each lens is merely a glowing orb...which frofoundly seems to influence the basic instinct feelings in the roots of the musclecar-mindedness in all of us!. :D  :drool5:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I probably won't make it this year, I've got prior obligations going on that weekend. Missed it last year, too. :'(
