hi guys , i'm looking for a car for a mate and have found this beautiful numbers matching  71 SE (I think) fc7 , manual steering /discs , black leather . tag reads
N41 R11 V7W 26 end
H51 J52 L37 M21 m31  m44
V4W U B11 C16 C55 G11
FC7 CRX9 TX9 B03 044993

http://www.artsvett.com/vehicle.aspx?x=C691   so the big question is what's it worth ? he's asking $25000  I was thinking 15-20 K

You could not restore a car to that level for under 20k. Looks like a great deal imo.

1974dodgecharger

is it fully restored?  If restored yeah 25k, but other than that what your price is...15k to 20k...its a 3rd gen they will run lower than 2nd gen....sad, but true.

Mopar Nut

Looks like it's worth 25k all day long, but bring it in $100.00 bills and offer him 22k. Is it down under, if it is, worth every penny to save on shipping.

no its over there ,same car over here is a 30- 40 k all day long . its easier to find it get it checked out and ship it home, than to look over here  :Twocents:

It probably won't last long at that price. :drool5:

I do not believe they are really negotiable.

I looked at a Charger which had a "new" fender tag installed... Or so this site showed...

Man for that price it should be complete!

A/c car (H51) with no ac.
Hood trim missing.
Front fender reveals are missing. Standard on SE's.

Sounds like a bargin though as long as you know up front.

Imo, unless you use the A/C weekly, it will kill you financially trying to maintain it.  Also, a lot of folks throw the trim away. It just traps dirt and causes rust. :Twocents:

Neither of my classics have working air so it's not a biggie for me. I also didn't pay even 25% of that price for both my cars. Just saying. $25k for a 3rd gen, it outta be all there and working. At least find a wiper knob for it. And as far as the trim, take it off or leave it on. I don't care but the center of 3 pieces on the hood missing? Poor in my opinion especially when they are available out there. To me it would be like putting it up for sale with 3 matching rims and the spare on it.

1) For 25K the AC should be present and working correctly.
2) Aren't those rims off a late 70's 300
3) the thermal vacuume switch isn't hooked up to anything, is that for the AC?
4) drivers door panel scatched up preaty bad

The last 2 are kinda small I know, but they are asking TOP dollar and nothing should need done to it.

20K max IMO

Can't believe that so many people have responded that the car is worth that kind of money.
It's a big stretch to call it "restored".... So many missing and/or non original parts on it. It's a nice driver...nothing more.

Just at a quick glance...intake, battery cables, no shroud, wrong year seat covers, faded carpet, chaulky and scraped lower interior panels, headers, wrong year hood....and on and on.   I wouldn't give more than 12k for it.

71 SE3834V

Missing wiper knob.
Incorrect radiator.
Did that vac temp switch come on a '71 440 timing cover? It's not on my 383.
Where's the temp control valve? Heater hoses straight into the core. Is the heat on all the time?
Who wired that thing? A 3rd grader? What's with all the extra wires? I understand it's had an orange box/electronic upgrade but really? Blue quick connectors? If you're not gonna wrap 'em, put 'em in a loom.
I'm no pro but I at least try to do neat work. Here's my recent rewire job.

Looks like a nice job, however the black inner fenders need paint. :2thumbs:

Heck, the whole car needs paint!  :smilielol:
That inner fender has a large hole in it below the battery tray so no sense in spraying it w/the gunmetal it should have. Was just trying to make it look better since the wiring was stripped. Looks a whole lot better than before.

For 25K and a 3rd gen it better be near perfect(6 pack & HEMI excluded).

Does anyone know what year they stopped making water pump housings with a power steering boss on them?
