Any of you guys got any glory stories in your charger?

Exactly. And I bet when they're parked somewhere people don't go up to the owner and ask if they can take a pic.

I've got a bunch of glory stories. When you've driven the same car 400,000 miles things happen. We use to race cross country back in the day. I was racing a 51 ford truck and a 69 Torino. It was at night and we were running about 115 mph and the Torino was right on my bumper when all of a sudden all hell breaks loose as sparks and crap start lighting up my rear view mirror. The old Torino couldn't take the stress. :shruggy: Chalk one up for the Mopar. :2thumbs:

GOTWING

When I was in high school the year was 1985 a bully with a basically stock 70 montecarlo 350 4bbl kept harrasing me to race him this went on for weeks I was not the show off type wanting to race etc.so one day after school it was on I followed him out of the school parking lot in my 73 charger to get this over with about a half of dozen other cars followed to watch we lined up on a nice two lane road just minutes from the school a buddy of mine rode with so we take off I pulled on him and beat him fair and square I did not stop to hang around I just kept going and dropped my buddy off and went home the next morning I did not see the Monte in the school parking lot well word was he actually blew the motor during the race is that really why I won ?? I never found out and didn't really care either my car was fine and his was out of the picture for several months this guy was a real jerk and he actually passed away a few years ago

It's true, there's many cars out there that can kick mine's butt, however they don't all seem to realize this because it's such an intimidating car.  One of my coworkers is always in awe when he sees me turn into the parking lot but he doesn't realize I don't have a chance against his German toy rocket.

I'll tell you what though, I can safely pass 4 cars in a row thanks to all the torque this car has and I can't do that crap in my Honda!
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

LOL, I can pass about 4 gas stations in my Toyota, I can't do that in my Charger. I can drive daily in my Toyota, I can't do that in my Charger.

Maybe not but you can sit in it and smile from ear to ear.  :2thumbs:

These cars are anything but practical as a daily commuter. If my charger got only 4mpg I would still have the fun I have with it and not gripe.
I have a driver for the daily needs as most of us do like Cooter.
Even my Challenger is not a daily driver. It is something for me to have fun with like my coronet and charger.
I feel fortunate to have these but worked for many years to get here.
BTW the challenger and coronet are 40 years apart but share many things. Dodge,425hp, manual trans, hemi. But they are two very different animals.
It's hard to say which is more fun to drive. :yesnod:

I hit a deer a couple weeks ago with the Challenger (bastage!) and had to drive my Charger a 1 1/2 hours a day as my daily driver. Car handles it well, but the 90+ degree heat is brutal on me. Challenger is much more user friendly with all the technology nowadays.
