Windscreen gasket/mouldings/clips fitment order question please...

Hi guys, having a new windscreen fitted to my '69/70 on Tuesday. Car currently has top and side chrome mouldings, but not lower. I've ordered clips, but do they have to to fitted before the moulding, and do I have to drill the body to attach the clips with the appropriate screws?

I'd rather not drill the body right there if I don't have to (why drill a load of holes under a water trap?  ) , and don't really want to have to do it in a hurry before Tuesday.

Clips go into the body before the gasket & windshield is installed.

There should be holes in the body already for the clips (unless they were previously filled in from a repair?)

Hmmm, yeah, no. iIll not be drilling holes in my car at the bottom of a water channel. Thank you!

then how are you going to hold the trim on      the clips get screwed in the cowl it wont leak in the car the screws have sealer on them plus if they did leak you get more water in the cowl from the cowl louvers than you get from the screws

It's been running without the lower trim since I bought the car. I'll call it when the guy takes the old windscreen out. If the holes are in there, I'll put the clips in, if not, I think I'll leave it be. The clips in the pack are different sizes, which ones go along the bottom please?
