Ok I know this is a bias crowd, but I'm not looking for a Charger and this car is near me.
I know the guy is a scam artist nuff said...

I look at it yesterday I think it about 20k worth, it sports the original trunk pan and quarters.
440 auto bla bla bla it is a real b5 for you green lovers out there.

Total bar bones coupe, just a street fighter.

VOTE!  :patriot:

Why does it have toque boxes? I know the traction bars have to go.

I'm not biased, I don't care for them.  There.

It LOOKS like a nice car, but pictures never tell the story, not when taken by a salesman.  Since they would overprice their own mothers, I would say $20K is at the high end.

I don't deal with car dealers, if they have the car I've always wanted I 'may' try to talk to them but likely won't even bother.  I think I would rather stab myself in the temple than deal with car salesmen again!   :eek2:

Best of course is ask if someone local can look it over, but remind him not to stab himself in the temple...

Dealers want that 5 grand don't they.

Here is a private seller with a 4-speed RR

5 grand and then some!   :yesnod:

Of course they need to make money and they can make all the money they want, but not at others' expense.  Heck, maybe they're easy to deal with and good honest people...I just wouldn't put any money on that bet that's all.   :icon_smile_big:

If you like it and you find it's worth $20K (hopefully someone close by can check for you) then I'd say you have a good shot at getting it.  These cars can't sit for too long on the lot.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

JB400

Offer $20k for it. they may take it, or with a little bartering, you could get it for around $22,500 or maybe $23k.

The car itself looks pretty good, but did they run out of money to get a proper air cleaner for it? :eek2:

This can be a later install but I always get nervous when I see a shiny car with rusted gauges.  If it's the stock cluster then there's your indicator on the rest of the car.  No pics of the center trunk pan either, I wonder why?   :scratchchin:

I saw the whole trunk Dino, there is a silver dollar hole by the back, everything else looks solid.
Hood is painted wrong, gages need repairing, no support under the seat, need more padding.
Didn't drive it so who knows.

I'm up and down on it... really want a pistol grip 4-speed runner, so I might wait for it. No big rush.

See if I was a seller, I'd be happy to show that it only had one small hole.  Most look like Swiss cheese!

If 4 speed is what you want then 3 speed auto will not make you very happy, I'd say you're making a wise choice.

My two cents  , that car has been cobbles together ,  those torq boxes look like a crude add on when they put the 440  in it and pulled the 383  .   The green car is a much better cleaner car IMO .  Keep looking they are out there and if you budget is 20k your should be able to find a nice driver and not deal with the problems that blue car has  .
I will keep my eye out for you Ed .   Also get an air grabber car , that is the coolest hood option ever if you get a 70 make sure you get the air grabber .  Oh and the pistol grip of course  .  :Twocents: :D

Well, my buddy has a 70 hemi orange RR 3-speed for me to buy, but it needs a total resto.

That's my fall back car. Originally a Texas car he's had in California for 12 years.

This car an original 71 Red Charger R/T 440+6 was in my line of sight but again 5 grand over what I'm willing to pay for. They will not take any less.

Ok Stuee, I'll not try and buy it.

1970 Roadrunner pistol grip 4-speed is what I want with a High impacted color or blue.  :2thumbs:

I talked to the guy with the lime light RR, seems like a nice guy, has a great car. He said it was raced.

I'll take a 70 Charger too so not to put you guys out.

Your opinions counts  :2thumbs: because I got to live with you guys if I screw up.

charger_fan_4ever

I have always liked 70 RRers.

That would be my next choice over a 2nd generation charger.

AGREED, saw it at the Bass Pro HPAC show ~ Super awsome car, but looks nicer in pictures then in person, needs a cosmetic resto for sure... Vinyl top peeling up, paint scraches and chips, still 1 of 98 V codes ~ and love the hide-aways and air grabber...

I'm looking for a 383 Roadrunner 4-speed that just needs gas and oil, and is 98% complete.

Prefer a coupe in high impact color but not yellow noooooo way.  :yesnod: hate that color.
