Holley 750 Carb to Intake Gasket.

 Boy the good old days of going to the parts store and looking at the wall of Carb Gaskets is over!  

I am looking for a gasket that will be between 1/8th to a 1/4 thick to help keep the carb a little cooler.

I am looking for a factory type (can be none Mopar, just open plenum type) and the parts person said it sounds like a old Ford Yuck type.

I am running a 383 Troker Intake, 750 Holley with a Fresh Air Cleaner from a 69 on my 68 Road Runner so I have to watch thickness.

I would not worry about a thicker Carb Gasket.  I have never needed one.

Ken, do you have enough hood clearance for a 1/2in spacer ?  If so, that would be your best option along with the Felpro 1214 intake valley pan that blocks the heat crossover

Ron, pretty sure 1/4 is the thickest I can go.

The base insulating gasket works good but a phenolic spacer works much better....that is why i asked.

If it were me, i'd make the room for a 1/2in spacer. A drop base air cleaner will make it work....no problem. A lowdeck in a roadrunner has adequate hood clearance.....a Performer RPM on a 440 with the right air cleaner will clear. 

If you want just the thick gasket to try out they are available on Summit racing for ~ $15 or so.
