Got a technical question. My 69 Roadrunneris equipped with a 440 stroked to a 496, standard 906 heads ( non-ported ) Edelbrock TM-7 singleplane intake, Holley 850 DP and an Iskendarian camshaft. Would a 2,5 inch exhaust be too small for this kinda engine? I have original exhaust manifolds.
Thanks,
Marcel

Unless you install headers there's not much point to going larger than 2.5in exhaust. Manifolds are restrictive and on a 496...they're very restrictive. You should have at least a 17/8in header and 3in exhaust to realize the full potential of that build, inmo.
