I've been taking Rollie out to the fairgrounds just about every evening. Routine is I'll throw the tennis ball as far as I can and he'll catch up to it before it stops rolling. Repeat this about 20 times and he'll be ready for a break. Drink some water, lay down in the shade for a couple minutes, and he's ready to go again. Chuck it another ten times or so and pack it in. By that point he seems to be tiring. My arm definitely is.
We'll get home 15 minutes later and he'll be spitting that ball out at me while I try to watch TV.
He's nuts.

have you seen these ,definitely saves the arm     :2thumbs:      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dog-Ball-Throwing-Device-Tennis-ball-thrower-your-active-dog-NEW-/221046554081

best darn dog in the world never would stop playing "fetch"!

he loved his Frisbee but give him a ball and that boy would literally go at it for hours.
RIP Woofie!
wingless now, but still around.

Our dog was the laziest fetcher. He'd run after the ball three times maximum and he worked out pretty quickly..........if he doesn't bring it back.......it won't get thrown.........and he won't be expected to fetch it!

Back in my childhood, I had a yellow lab that would steal tools to get you to chase him. Hand tools, garden tools...whatever. Set your rake or hammer down and he'd grab it and run off.

Our dog used to stuff socks or undies in his mouth and walk off with them to eat at leisure. But you could never tell he had anything in his mouth at all. He was so nonchalant about it.

Three Rottweiler's back, we had one that would nick anything that wasn't nailed down any bury it in the garden. Slippers, suntan lotion, football, anything. He was very sneaky about it though, looking around to see if he was going to get away with it and giving himself away in the process. Always knew when he's been up to no good. Loved him dearly.

This one just passed was to lazy to bury anything.

Took Poly's advice. Got a Chuckit (8 bucks on Amazon) Doesn't get much more distance, but my arm (...and shoulder... and neck... and back) is holding up better.

Here's some quick videos of my 9 year old daughter giving it a try.

Nice!  Love the "keep him out of traffic comment"....one car doing a slow roll on a gravel road does not constitute "traffic"

LOL  ;)
