Adjusting the Floats

I have a eldelbrock 1406 what float level should it be set at and how do I do it.

Might not be the same, but on a 1407 you take out 8 screws and remove the air horn.
Then flip it upside down and measure from the gasket to the far end of the float(should be 7/16")
Then flip it right side up and measure again (should be 15/16" to 1")
