Brake Pressure Switch on '69 B Body

Out at Carlisle I noticed I hardly could stop and when I check the master cylinder I found my rear chamber was empty. With some help from friends I got the brake bled and got home safely. I got it up on stands when I got home and noticed brake fluid dripping off the distribution block at the front mounted off the frame rail. I figured one of the lines were loose but after looking closer I believe it may be coming from the brake pressure switch that is threaded into it.

Everywhere I look I see the block with the switch installed. Is just the switch available?  I also considered just taking it out and plugging it if I knew what thread it was. Has anyone done that?

Thanks for helping me stop again!

If it hasn't always been leaking there I'd be curious as to why it started before I just went and plugged it off or swapped out the switch. :shruggy:

I know the switch already can't be working because the rear resivour to the front brakes was totally empty and the light on the dash never came on. If I'm not mistaken there may be a seal or oring on the switch as well but I have yet to take the switch out to look at it.  Is there something else that could have failed inside the block to start the leak?

What they call a "switch" is merely a contact that grounds the warning light when the system becomes unbalanced. If the light didn't come on when one system failed I'd check the bulb.

There is an O ring that seals the switch to the valve and the switch body could also be leaking.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
