My 1968 charger transmission (727) is junk. I've been looking around to see about rebuilding or buying new remanufactured. Summitt offers both B&M (about a $1000) and a TCI (for $1350). I am running a 440 that dyno'ed at 425HP. Any thoughts on what I should do? I do know I will also need a new converter. thanks for any input

For that amount of power you should be able to take it to a local trans guy to rebuild it, shouldn't be to expensive. I had my last one built for $800. Still working fine.

B&M and TCI both have a jaded reputation. If you want a 727 built by a guy who really knows Torqueflites try John Cope at CRT.

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
