Correct Pulley Diameters for Big Block Crank & Water Pump

What are the correct dia.'s for the water pump and the crank pulleys on a BB 440? Here's what i have, crank pulley 2 grove about 6-9/16" inch dia, which should be correct, and my water pump pulley is 6-1/2 inch, just barely clears the the pump bolts. Of course my car is non-A/C, but has power steering. I have read that the water pump should be 6-3/4 inch in dia., is that correct and would a 1/4 inch make much of a difference in how the car's cooling system works?? Thanks for any help!
