Console Questions Part 2...

I took my console apart several years ago and unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of it as I broke it down. My question concerns the carpet. There are three pieces one for the back, the passenger side and the driver side. Does the top of the carpet go under the molding piece or flush up to it? I am guessing that the molding also helps to hold the carpet in place. Also was the carpet glued to the console or did it just hang from the molding? Thanks for any info. I have a red interior and I found a paint that is a pretty close match for the red plastic parts for the console and the other plastic parts such as the seat hinge covers. Yes it goes under the moulding and it's glued down.
