  was this the  GTX   ???          :drool5: :drool5: :drool5:

The pink GTX at Carlisle was bought by a dealer in Michigan.  VIN is (U-code) 440-4bbl but its a real GTX (RS23). The block appears to be 8-69. No fender tag was pictured.

Interesting that they want $39,900 when the guy was selling it for $25,000.

It's a beautiful car, but when some of the striping doesn't match up, and some of the chrome lines aren't clean, not to mention the tuning of the car wasn't done... I just didn't want to pay $25k for a car that wasn't original, and that the guy couldn't tell me details about it bothered me. Wonder if they'll find a buyer at that price, considering I got my charger for about that and it's numbers matching, and you guys have seen it. (Pictures or in person.)

I didn't pay 25k, I paid 40k for the charger, if there was confusion in my statement, I just meant the gtx isn't original in any way, and to me the work looked a little shoddy... they're now selling it for the price I paid for my charger which came numbers matching and with extensive documentation. (Plus the original wheels and radio.)

I do too, it's a lot of money to throw around on something to regret. I have no doubt in my mind I made the right choice. I LOVE my car. It's just morbid curiosity about the gtx... wondering if they'll sell it at that price. But it is a beautiful car, I do love the gtx, just not as much as I liked my charger.

That pink GTX was at Rhinebeck in May...    $37K sounds about what he was asking...  maybe 39.      Talked to the owner... was originally light bronze.   It was a fairly nice car but would have only been worth that much had it been an original pink car ...  more if it was #'s matching... which it wasn't.

He told me he'd like to get 30k out of it, when I talked to him, and when I asked him what the original color was he told me he bought it when it was already primered so he wasn't sure.

Nice car & welcome to the site.

By the way, you better wear a helmet when you're driving in case you slam on the brakes. You could get knocked unconscious by a flying house speaker.

Haha, the speakers probably won't be staying in the car, but I have it on good authority that that was the thing to do back in the day.  :2thumbs:

And he has a very high opinion of all of the cars he has for sale. That Charger is for sale at $52,900.00 and was listed on Ebay today. I wish him luck.
